1 About BoardConquest
BoardConquest is a web application for board game enthusiasts. It lets you build a personal library of board games, upload PDF rulebooks, chat with an AI assistant about the rules, sync your collection with BoardGameGeek (BGG), plan game nights with friends, log plays and statistics, and follow board game news.
The Service and SaaS application are provided by Dawid Sugajski, operating as an unregistered sole activity (the "Provider"). Contact for application operation, account access, personal data and technical support: admin@boardconquest.com.
2 Definitions
User – a natural person who creates an Account and uses the Service. Account – an individual user account secured with a password. Content – any data the User uploads to the Service, including PDF rulebooks, game metadata, notes, plays, photos and chat messages.
Subscription – an optional paid plan unlocking additional features. AI Assistant – the chat feature that answers questions about uploaded rulebooks using a large-language-model service.
BGG – BoardGameGeek (boardgamegeek.com), a third-party service the User may optionally connect to import their collection.
3 Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum age for valid online consent in your country, e.g. 13 years in the United States with parental supervision). By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you use the Service in the name of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4 Account and security
Creating an Account requires a valid e-mail address and a password. The Provider may require e-mail verification. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
You must notify the Provider immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your Account. The Provider may suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
You may delete your Account at any time. Deletion removes your personal data subject to retention obligations described in section 12.
5 Features and licence to use
Subject to these Terms, the Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for managing your board game collection, rulebooks, meetings and play history. If you use the Service on behalf of a group or organisation, you are responsible for having the authority to enter and manage the related data.
Some features (e.g. the AI Assistant, BGG sync, news aggregation) depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable, rate-limited or modified.
6 Paid plans and payments
Selected features are available as paid Subscriptions. Prices, billing cycles and feature scope are presented on the Pricing page before purchase.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the Merchant of Record for paid orders. The buyer enters into the sales transaction with Paddle, which is responsible for collecting payment, calculating applicable taxes, issuing the purchase document/invoice and handling payment processing.
The Provider does not store your full payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel renewal at any time from your Account or through channels provided by Paddle; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless Paddle states otherwise during the payment process.
The Provider may change Subscription prices or discontinue a plan for future billing periods, after informing the User in advance. Such change is not retroactive: for an active Subscription it applies no earlier than from the next month (next billing period) after the period already paid by you ends.
7 Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)
Consumers established in the EU/EEA generally have the right to withdraw from a paid Subscription within 14 days from the conclusion of the contract, without giving any reason. You may send a statement to admin@boardconquest.com; refund of funds, card charge issues and invoice issues may be handled directly by Paddle Support as the Merchant of Record.
If, during checkout, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal may expire in accordance with art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the Polish Act on Consumer Rights of 30 May 2014. If such consent is not validly collected, mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
8 User Content and rulebooks
You retain all rights to the Content you upload. You grant the Provider a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display and process your Content solely as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service for you.
You represent and warrant that you own the Content or have the necessary rights to upload and use it within the Service. In particular, you must not upload PDF rulebooks or other materials that infringe third-party copyrights or licences. The Provider may remove Content that, on reasonable grounds, appears to infringe these Terms or applicable law.
Content uploaded for use with the AI Assistant is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing (see section 12). Do not upload content that contains sensitive personal data, trade secrets or other information you are not authorised to share.
9 AI Assistant – disclaimer
The AI Assistant generates answers based on the rulebook PDFs you upload and on general language-model knowledge. Its answers may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. They are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for the official rules of any game.
You are solely responsible for verifying the answers before relying on them. The Provider does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content.
10 Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) violate applicable law or third-party rights, (b) upload malware or attempt to compromise the security of the Service, (c) attempt to access other users' data, (d) scrape, reverse-engineer or copy the Service beyond what is allowed by mandatory law, (e) use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications, (f) impersonate other persons.
Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of the Account and, where applicable, in legal action.
11 Intellectual property of the Service
All rights to the Service, its source code, design, trademarks and documentation belong to the Provider or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you, except for the limited licence to use the Service under section 5.

16 Service availability and changes
The Provider strives to keep the Service available 24/7 but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, third-party outages or force majeure may cause temporary unavailability.
The Provider may modify the Service for legitimate reasons (security, legal compliance, technical evolution, new features). Material changes affecting paying Subscribers will be communicated in advance, and Subscribers will be allowed to terminate their Subscription if they do not accept the change.
17 Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is liable only for damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and only up to the amount paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or loss of data caused by factors beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes mandatory consumer rights or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud).
18 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where the consumer has their habitual residence. We try to resolve disputes amicably after contact at admin@boardconquest.com. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled by the court having jurisdiction under applicable law, in particular taking into account the consumer's domicile where mandatory law so provides.
19 Changes to the Terms and contact
The Provider may amend these Terms for valid reasons (changes in law, new features, security). Registered Users will be notified by e-mail or in-app at least 14 days before changes take effect; if you do not accept the changes you may terminate your Account before they enter into force. Questions, application operation issues, account issues, personal-data requests and technical complaints should be sent to admin@boardconquest.com. Payment, card, tax, invoice and refund matters may be handled by Paddle Support as the Merchant of Record.
