Frequently asked questions

What is BoardConquest?

BoardConquest is a companion app for board gamers. It keeps your games and PDF rulebooks in one library. The Rules Arbiter answers rules questions and shows you the exact rulebook page. You can plan game nights with friends and club meetings with many tables. You can also message friends and groups, follow board game news and track your play statistics. It works in English and Polish, in the browser on your phone or computer.

Can I import my BoardGameGeek collection?

Yes. Enter your BoardGameGeek username. BoardConquest imports your collection with covers, statuses, base games and expansions, along with the plays you logged on BGG. You can refresh it at any time and add games that aren't on BGG by hand.

Which rulebooks can I add?

Any PDF: base rules, expansions, FAQs and errata, player aids - even several languages for one game. The free plan takes up to 30 files a month; Pro has no monthly limit. In the viewer you can add notes or replace a passage with your own correction or house rule. Every game also gets a setup checklist, a rules summary, beginner tips and strategies.

How does the Rules Arbiter work?

Ask in your own words, in English or Polish, even when the rulebook is in another language. The Arbiter is a language model. It answers from your rulebooks only, including the expansions you play with. It lists its sources and highlights the cited passage on the PDF page, so you can check it. Your conversations are saved. The free plan includes 5 questions a month; Pro has no monthly limit.

Can I plan game nights with friends?

Yes. Create a meeting and invite friends or a whole group. Suggest a few games and let everyone vote for the game of the night. Dates sync with Google Calendar or any calendar through ICS. For a bigger evening there's the club meeting: several tables, seats to sign up for, one link for everyone and a chat at every table. After the game, log the play with players, scores and time. Meetings are part of the paid plans. Calendar sync and play logging are free.

What statistics will I see?

For every game: how many times and when you played, total and average time, wins per player and average scores, and a list of recent plays. Plays imported from BGG count too. With Pro you can also rank your games head-to-head and save your own top 10.

Where does the board game news come from?

From board game websites, YouTube channels and RSS or Atom feeds, all gathered in one feed. You can filter by language, content type and source, mark items as read and save them for later. With Pro you can add your own sources.

What is free and what does Pro cost?

The free plan includes board game news, the game library with BGG sync and games you add by hand, and up to 30 PDF rulebooks a month. You also get play logging with statistics, friends, groups and messages, calendar sync and 5 Rules Arbiter questions a month. Pro costs $7 a month. It removes the monthly limits on the Rules Arbiter and rulebooks. It also adds game rankings, your own news sources, meeting invitations with votes and club meetings of up to 2 tables and 12 people. Club costs $12 a month and removes the limits on club meetings. Each plan renews every month until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep it until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments are handled by Paddle.

Can I share a summary of my plays?

Yes. Once you're signed in, your dashboard shows a card for this month and last month. It has your total play time, number of plays and top 5 games. In December and January there's also a card for the whole year with your top 10. Download it as an image or share it on social media straight from your phone.

What is a club meeting?

A meeting for clubs, shops, cafes and bigger groups. The organizer adds tables. Players sign up for open seats or are invited to a specific one. Each table's host picks the games, and one link lets everyone join. The meeting and every table have their own chat. Everyone taking part can see each other's names and photos. On Pro, a club meeting holds up to 2 tables and 12 people. The Club plan has no limits.

Can I message my friends?

Yes, for free. Once a friend accepts your invitation, you can message each other. A group of friends gets a shared chat. Every club meeting and table has its own conversation too. Messages are deleted after 90 days.
